The red brick of the neighbouring buildings set the tone. Miriam Frowein lacquered the cabinetry and window frames in Farrow & Ball's Eating Room Red, laid a chequerboard of aubergine and off-white encaustic tiles, and finished the worktops in polished Rosso Levanto marble: the country kitchen, reconsidered. Livingetc featured it in its 2024 report on the return of burgundy.
